Situated on the lower end of Florida Road, Durban. This artisanal coffee joint exudes a relaxed hipster vibe, complete with their own range of printed apparel, custom surfboards and a BMW R65 cafe racer casually parked at the entrance. Bring along your laptop, order your preferred caffeine kick and get some work done. Each table is kitted with its own plug point and WiFi is on the house, making this the quintessential coffee-shop-office. We especially liked the large windows which flooded the space with natural light.
Of course the coffee remains central to the attraction of Counter Culture and it did not disappoint. All espresso coffees are made using a 50/50 blend of Tanzanian and Brazilian beans. Single origin beans are used at the brew bar where V60 Pourover, Chemex, Siphon & Aeropress hand poured coffees are available. They also make their own Yama Drip Cold Brew.
